Spice girls WITH Ginger Spice
Ginger Spice, so named for her liveliness, zest, and flaming red hair was the most outrageous, sexually suggestive and cheeky member of the nineties pop sensation The Spice Girls. The Spice Girls were definitely more spicy because of Ginger Spice. She made the others look like cumin and cardamom while she was smoky hot paprika. Her charms and cheekiness won over Prince Charles when she kissed him and pinched his derrière (something only Camilla had ever done to him before).
For 4 magical years they reigned the “girl power” phenomenon, had a box-office film; Spice World, won Brit Awards, MTV awards, released 9 number one singles in the UK and ultimately became one of the most successful marketing engines ever.
Listening to the Spice Girls could be a transcendental experience with ground breaking lyrics like “So tell me what you want, what you really really want, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zigazig ha”. Interpretation was that zigazig ha was the key to enlightenment.
And then, just like Robbie left Take That, Ronan left Boyzone and Justin left NSYNC, Geri hung up her Union Jack sequined dress, and left the Spice Girls.
