How to stand out in tinsel town
Scarlett Johansson smoulders as the flame haired Black Widow in Avengers: Age of Ultron. She is one of a long list of gorgeous Hollywood actresses who have gone to the ginger side for starring roles. There are also some repeat offenders who have used bottled red to create their own ‘signature’ look.
1. Emma Stone was a gorgeous redhead in most of her early roles. She went back to her natural blonde for her role as Gwen Stacy in “The Amazing Spider-Man.” Interviewed by MTV at the time, Emma said “The truth is I am naturally blonde anyway. Everyone thinks I’m a redhead but that’s just dyed. I’m actually enjoying being a blonde again. It’s been a while.I looked in the mirror and said, ‘Oh my God, it’s me again! It’s been so long!'”

2. Christina Hendricks is a fiery powerhouse who puts the ginger sass into Madmen. When she first dyed her hair, her agency told her it was ugly but coincidentally she booked three modelling jobs immediately and she’s never looked back.

3. So Amy Adams actually has strawberry blonde hair which she ‘enhances’ with the bottle. Originally she dyed it for casting in a TV show Dr. Vegas. Amy recalls;”I played a nurse and there was this beautiful blonde, Sarah Lancaster, who was cast as the casino dealer, I’m in a room with her, and they said, ‘Someone’s going to have to change their hair color.’ She’s tan with these beautiful lioness green eyes and this mane of blonde hair. And I looked at her and me, with my pale freckles, and thought, ‘Gee, I wonder which one of us is going to go red!'”

4. Deborah Ann Woll vampire star of True Blood admitted what we all know – redheads get noticed!
“As a fair-skinned blonde, I disappeared into the background,” she told Elle. “I’ve always been a loner, so I suppose dying my hair red was a way to say, ‘I’m here, I exist, I’m a human being and you can’t just push me aside.’ I’m also a fan of old movies, and was very into Rita Hayworth at the time. I always fancied someone might call me ‘Red,’ like Katherine Hepburn.”
